Colle Val d'Elsa: pretty medieval village. Famous for its production of crystal that you can buy for cheap rates directly from its producers. It has a small, unique theatre and a beautiful church. As well as Certaldo, Colle Val d'Elsa is not as touristic as S.Gimignano or Volterra but very nice to see.
We are very close to S.Donato in Poggio, Castellina in Chianti, Greve and Gaiole in Chianti: the winery road!
All pretty villages where you can find good cellars and winery shops, where besides excellent Chianti wine you can buy very good cheeses and typical tuscan products.
San Gimignano: probably one of the most charming medieval villages of Tuscany, only 15 minutes by car from Il Paretaio. It is famous for its 13 towers which you can easily recognise from all the surrounding countryside (possible to see also during the riding out). Originally they were 72, unfortunately destroyed during the war. If you go there don't forget to try the fantastic ice-cream of Dondoli!!!
Volterra: a magical, ancient Etruscan town with incredible ruins of a Roman theatre and a Museum of Etruscan culture. It is about 45 minutes by car from us and the roads will lead you through beautiful wild landscapes typical of our region!!! You can also find good shops to but Alabaster.
